Basket Making Workshop

MTRI are collaborating with Medway Community Forest to host basket weaver Sian Gwynne Turner for a 2-day workshop!

You will be submerged in the language of willow. We will make a round stake and strand kindling/log/storage basket with inset handles out of cultivated willow grown in Nova Scotia. You will learn about cultivation and preparation of materials as well as how to pair and to wale, to rand and to rap and border down, all techniques specific to weaving with this amazing material. The cost is 100$ and includes tools and materials.
