The Barrington Museum Complex is co-hosting a Green Shores® Level 1 training day with theCape Sable Historical Society on June 8, 9am-4pm.
Register by e-mailing [email protected] with your name, email, and name of your community to [email protected].
Green Shores® is a program originally created by the Stewardship Centre for BC, and has recently expanded and updated to be applicable in the Maritimes! Green Shores provides anyone working on a lake or ocean shoreline with a system of credits and ratings to optimize the benefits that the project provides to both the project manager/homeowner, and to the environment. Level 1 training is a great introduction to the program and covers shoreline ecology, governance, and climate change adaptation measures, with the ability to apply what is learned to a real shoreline in the afternoon.
